001 What it costs

You shouldn’t have to book a call to find out the price.

Everything we sell is listed below with a number next to it. Writing to us costs nothing and gets you a written answer from an engineer within one business day.

002 The list

Price list

Write to us Describe what breaks in your own words. A person reads it and replies within one business day with what we think is happening and whether we are the right people for it.
Full audit Five business days. Written report you own and can take to anyone.
$2,400
Making it safe to touch Backups, alarms, a test copy. Two to three weeks.
Starts at $6,000
Moving and modernizing One fixed number, quoted from the audit. It does not grow later.
Quoted
Monthly care Watching, patching, updating, old bugs, monthly report, 24/7 if it goes down.
$900–$2,500
per month

The audit fee comes off the migration price if you go ahead. If you don’t, you still keep the report. Why isn’t the migration price listed? Because anyone who quotes a migration before reading your code is guessing — and guessers come back later asking for more.

003 What you get for it

What each of those includes.

Fixed numbers, written scope, and a document you own at the end of every stage.

Writing to us is free. You get a reply within one business day saying what we think is happening and whether we are the right people for it. If we are not, we say so and point you somewhere better.

The audit is five business days of reading your code, your server and your history. You get a written report in plain language: what is there, what is dangerous, what each fix costs, ranked by what it is costing you now. You own it and can hand it to anyone.

Making it safe to touch is backups that actually restore, alarms that reach us before they reach you, and a copy of your system where changes can be tested. Two to three weeks.

Moving and modernizing is quoted from the audit as one fixed number. Your web addresses stay exactly the same. Switch-overs happen at night with a tested way to undo them.

Monthly care is patching, updating, the old bugs everyone gave up on, one page each month telling you what got blocked and fixed, and 24/7 alarms. Cancel any month.

004 Questions about money

Questions about money

Why is the migration price not listed?

Because anyone who quotes a migration before reading your code is guessing, and guessers come back later asking for more. The audit produces one fixed number, and that number does not grow.

Does the audit fee really come off the work?

Yes. If you go ahead with the migration, the $2,400 is deducted. If you do not, you keep the report and owe nothing further.

Is the monthly care contract locked in?

No. It is monthly, cancel any month. No annual commitment, no notice period, no cancellation fee.

What is actually free?

Writing to us and the reply. A person reads what you send and answers within one business day with what we think is happening and whether we are the right people for it. Nothing is charged before the audit, and the audit price is the one below.

How do I know you are any good before I pay you?

Two steps that cost nothing. Read the work section — every write-up says what we got wrong as well as what we fixed, which is not a thing you can fake. Then write to us and get a reply about your own system from a person, in writing, before any money is discussed. The $2,400 audit is the third step, not the first.

What if I want to get rid of you halfway through?

You remove our access and keep everything. The accounts are in your name, the code is in your repository, and the handover document is written as we go rather than promised at the end. The monthly contract cancels any month, with no notice period and no fee.

What if the audit says the system is fine?

Then it is fine, in writing, and you have spent $2,400 to stop worrying about it. That happens and we would rather say it than invent work.

Start by writing.

Describe what breaks in your own words. The reply tells you whether any of the paid items above are worth thinking about, and it costs nothing either way.
